Last Updated: November 16, 2024

Privacy First: Advanced GSC Visualizer is committed to protecting your privacy. This extension processes all data locally in your browser and does not collect, store, or transmit your personal information or Google Search Console data to any external servers.

1. Information Collection and Use

1.1 What Data We Access

Advanced GSC Visualizer accesses your Google Search Console data through Google's official API using OAuth 2.0 authentication. Specifically, we access:

  • Search performance data (queries, clicks, impressions, CTR, position)
  • URL inspection data
  • Crawl statistics
  • Site properties you have access to in Google Search Console

1.2 How We Use Your Data

Your Google Search Console data is used exclusively to:

  • Display enhanced visualizations and charts within Google Search Console
  • Provide advanced filtering and analysis tools
  • Enable data export functionality (CSV, JSON) – files are created locally on your device
  • Improve user experience within the Google Search Console interface

1.3 Local Processing Only

All data processing occurs locally in your browser. We do not:

  • Store your Google Search Console data on any external servers
  • Transmit your data to third parties
  • Create backups of your GSC data
  • Share your data with advertisers or analytics services
  • Track your browsing behavior outside of Google Search Console

2. Authentication and Access Tokens

2.1 OAuth 2.0 Authentication

Advanced GSC Visualizer uses Google's OAuth 2.0 protocol to access your Google Search Console data. When you connect to the Google Search Console API through our extension:

  • You are redirected to Google's authentication page (not controlled by us)
  • You explicitly grant permission for our extension to access your GSC data
  • Google provides an access token that is stored securely in your browser's local storage
  • This token is used only to fetch your GSC data through Google's official API

2.2 Token Storage and Security

  • Access tokens are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's secure storage API
  • Tokens are never transmitted to our servers or any third party
  • You can revoke access at any time through the extension or your Google Account permissions page

3. Data Storage

We store minimal extension settings locally in your browser, including:

4.2 No Third-Party Analytics

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other third-party analytics or tracking services.

5. Data Retention

Since we don't collect or store your data on external servers:

  • Your GSC data is only temporarily processed in your browser's memory
  • Data is cleared when you close the browser tab or disconnect from the API
  • Exported files (CSV/JSON) are saved only to your local device where you choose
