How to Adjust GSC Data to Daily, Weekly, or Monthly Views

Change your Google Search Console reporting view to analyze performance data across daily, weekly, or monthly timeframes.

Standard Google Search Console limits your ability to aggregate and visualize long-term performance trends across different time intervals seamlessly. The Advanced GSC Visualizer solves this by allowing you to instantly switch your reporting view between daily, weekly, and monthly granularities without leaving the interface.

Info Prerequisite

You must activate the advanced chart before you can adjust timeframes. Refer to our previous documentation on enabling the advanced chart if you have not done this yet.

Step 1: Locate the Time Period Dropdown

Ensure the advanced chart interface is active. Look at the top left side of the new chart panel to find the Time Period dropdown menu.

Step 2: Select Your Preferred Granularity

Click the Time Period dropdown and select your desired timeframe. The charts will immediately update to obey the chosen view.

  • Daily: Ideal for spotting immediate spikes, drops, or technical issues in traffic.
  • Weekly: Best for smoothing out weekend dips to observe broader mid-term trends.
  • Monthly: Perfect for high-level management reporting and identifying macro-level seasonal changes.

Use these timeframe controls to isolate macro and micro performance shifts. Toggle between different views regularly to extract the most accurate insights from your search data.
