How to Customize Chart Colors for Branded SEO Reporting

Learn how to change chart colors in the Advanced GSC Visualizer to perfectly match your agency branding.

Standard Google Search Console limits chart visualization to its default four colors, which restricts your ability to produce cohesive, branded client reports. The Advanced GSC Visualizer solves this limitation by allowing you to define precise hex codes or use a color picker to match the metric lines directly to your corporate identity.

Info Prerequisite

Ensure you have the advanced chart visualization activated before attempting to change the colors.

Step 1: Locate the Metric Color Toggles

Locate the four main metric buttons above the chart: Clicks, Impressions, CTR, and Position. Beside each metric name, click the colored circle to open the color customization menu.

Step 2: Assign Brand Colors

Set your custom color using one of the available input methods to immediately update the chart line, legend, and axis.

  • Type your exact brand hex code directly into the text input field.
  • Click the colored rectangle to open the visual color picker and manually select a hue.
  • Adjust the RGB values or click a pre-defined color swatch.

The tool automatically saves your selections to local memory. Your configured colors will persist during future sessions.

Step 3: Reset Colors to Default

Revert to the standard Google Search Console color scheme at any time using these two methods.

  • Reset a single metric: Click the specific colored circle for the metric, then click the Reset to default text.
  • Reset all metrics: Locate the Metric heading above the buttons and click the Reset colors text next to it.

Once your brand colors are set, take screenshots of the updated visualizer to embed cohesive, professional charts directly into your slide decks and SEO deliverables.
